McCutchen-Coke Municipal Park, Auburn. Located conveniently in the heart of Auburn, offering RV hookups for extended stays, playground for children, three baseball fields, walking track, football field, and several pavilions that can be reserved for parties, reunions, and meetings. Carpenter Center
The Carpenter Center is an addition to the Russellville Parks & Recreation Department. This is a structured fitness and aquatics facility for families and individuals. It is located at 265 North Main Street. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 5:30 AM - 6:00 PM (pool closes 1 hour early Monday-Thursday), Saturday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sunday, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The Center houses: two indoor pools, two racquetball courts, aerobic center, fitness center, indoor walking track and cardiovascular center. The mission of the Carpenter Center is to provide a comprehensive system of recreational programs, wellness services and a facility that will enhance the quality of life for the citizens of surrounding communities. HAMPTON PARK
Hampton Park is located on Seventh Street. Recreational facilities include: one softball field, two basketball courts, one large picnic shelter with two grills, two picnic tables, Russellville Town Creek Trail, and a playground area.
RECREATION CENTER
The Recreation center is located at 190 South Winter Street. The facility includes: a basketball court, a game room and an arts & crafts room. The basketball court can be rented at a rate of $20.00 for two hours. Meeting rooms are also available for rent. Rental agreements can be picked up at the Recreation office.
RUSSELLVILLE-LOGAN COUNTY MEMORIAL PARK
The Sportsman Club may be rented for private functions. The Rental Fee is $75.00 8 AM - 4 PM, $75.00 5PM - 11PM and $100 for Full Day rental. A clean-up fee of $25.00 is required if not cleaned by the persons using the building. Rent includes the use of a kitchen, ice machine, tables, and chairs. RENTAL AGREEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE RECREATION CENTER. Recreational facilities at the park include: a basketball court, croquet court, four tennis courts, little league baseball field, nature trail, batting cages, tot lot playground, two playground areas, one large picnic shelter with grills, three small picnic shelters with grills, and 20 picnic tables with grills.
RUSSELLVILLE PARKS & RECREATION SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
Chalk It Up Activity
Get down and dirty on the sidewalks of Russellville. Sidewalk Decoration Activity will be held on Saturday, June 4th in conjunction with the Flying Fish Festival from 11 AM - 1 PM & Saturday, October 1st in conjunction with the Logan County Tobacco & Heritage Festival in front of the Recreation Center.
County Wide Easter Egg Hunt
Held each year on the Saturday before Easter at Logan County High School, 2 PM. The event is open to ages birth to 10 with prizes awarded in each age division.
Road Races
Russellville Romp 5K Walk/Run - June
Jesse James Run/Walk 5 K Walk and Run, Saturday, 1st Saturday in October
Pre-registration is $15 and $18 after pre-registration deadline for races. Races start at 8:00. Registration at the Recreation Center.
